I thought I would try to make leggings for my doll. My daughter and I went to The Children's Place at the mall tonight, and I bought the smallest pair of leggings I could find - 12 month old baby leggings. When I got home I had to cut them WAY down. Here's what they look like.
This is a casual look. I don't have a lot of AG clothes to go with leggings. I'd prefer a denim skirt or a slender dress.
This is a more dressy look. I made this dress 5 years ago, and my daughter had one to match when she was 7.
What do you think?
they turned out sooooo cute .. good job .. that was a kewl idea to try and it worked so well .. I am impressed
ReplyDeleteCool! I think they look nice! I wish I could have a pair! ;)
ReplyDeleteReally GREAT job! I know any doll would love wearing them. I am probably crazy, but because we've had a cold winter. I hate to see my dolls without their bare legs covered! It makes me cold. Of course, they're oblivious.
ReplyDeleteI notice that your doll has the top from the sweet heart pjs. Could you post a review for them? I intend on buying them with birthday money from my grandma.
ReplyDeleteThe Crazy Doll Lady - Thank you for the comment. I do believe they would be easier to make from scratch than cutting down a baby's leggings. I never realized how fat baby legs are, so they had to be cut way back.

Rachy: Thank you for the comment. I wish AG sold leggings like that with the lace around the ankle. These tights were harder than they looked.

beachbabydoll: You have had a cold winter down there in Florida. All my relatives are still down there. I think leggings are so cute on so many outfits!!!

Jasmine: If you read this comment let me know. My daughter bought the sweetheart pjs from Christmas money that she had. She loves them!!!! The cutest part are the slippers!! They look so real, just like teens would wear. They have these cute draw-strings on the side of the shorts that normally you could pull to make the shorts rise higher or lower on the sides. But, they are sewn down so you can't do that. But, my daughter doesn't care about that. I would highly recommend them.
