American Girl Store

My daughter and I have been twice to the American Girl Store in Atlanta.  We are fortunate enough to be close enough to make a visit there.  I wish every girl could experience the store and the hotel stay.  I came upon these pictures, and I thought I would share them with you:
The store is not really that big, and, at first, we were disappointed, but then we soon got over that and just enjoyed being there.
Lanie's camper was quite exquisite.  My daughter's friend received it for Christmas, and it was perfect for her to stand 3 dolls on top   while all the accessories were inside.
Tons of clothes were there!!!!!!
This was an outfit that was exclusive to just the store.  I love the balloon skirt.
This is just another view of the shelves of "stuff".
More things!
Even the hallway to the bathrooms were decorated so pretty.  We even took a picture of the inside of the bathroom (also cute), but I won't show that.
My daughter was holding my doll, Julie.  I brought her to the store to get her ears pierced.  We also had fun trying on all the girl-size clothes.
You will see numerous cases like these featuring each doll.  I love Addy's clothes collection!

I actually took tons of pictures, but don't want to bore you with them.  This is a wonderful experience for girls, and I wish every girl could  experience it.  I felt TOTALLY BLESSED to be able to take my daughter and enjoy it through her eyes.  God has been very good to us.

Have a nice day!

The American Girl Magazine

Yesterday my daughter received her AG magazine which is always a treat for her.  I really like this magazine because it focuses on kindness, writing, and creativity.  This month's issue focused on animals.  Here are some pictures:

There is actually a smaller book inside the magazine with animal posters.  Do you see it above?

I really like the crafts on this page, but it says you need these clear, plastic boxes.  Where do you find them?
This is my favorite craft out of these clear, plastic boxes (above).  But, again, where do you get these clear boxes?
I thought this was so funny, and so easy to do.  So, I tried it myself with a cat photo I had, and turned it into a card:

Oops, I forgot to turn this picture around.  Maybe you can try these crafts.  Hope so!  Have an awesome day!!!

How Cute!!!!

Now, I know, this has nothing to do with dolls, but I had to share this picture of our hamster.  His name is Squire, and he gets SO upset when it's time to clean his cage that he fights with his brother.  So, we put him in this little tea kettle to settle him down, and he popped up just in time for me to snap a picture of him.
It's a little blurry because you have to snap fast to get these little critters!

ALSO, look on BEACH BABY DOLL's site for a contest she is doing.  You'll receive a free shirt with a name of your choice on the front. Yeah!!!!!!  She made this really cute story that you need to read through.  Just come up for a name for the doll "Peanut" and why she lost her hair.  Make sure you read all the directions!  My daughter and I plan on entering; hopefully you will too!

Have a nice day!

Pretty in Pink!

I have finally finished a dress I had been working on.  You probably saw it in one of my Valentine posts.
It is pink satin underneath and on the top.
There is a sheer layer over the satin.  (Notice Nellie's shoes?)
This is a close-up of the bodice (top).
This is the back that I finally finished.
There is a nice strip of velcro closing the back up.
And here is Rebecca in all her curls.  These actually took a long time to spritz, comb, and style, but the curls are worth it!
Here's her profile, and.....
here's her other profile.  Don't you love her curls?  Thank you for viewing this dress!!! Oops, I almost forgot, CUTE AND FURRY ALERT!!!!!!
Here's Cheeseball AGAIN in the middle of all my stuff!

Have a wonderful day!

A New Project

Last November, right after Halloween, I found this cute Belle Costume at the Disney Store.  As you can see, it was meant for a baby.  I bought the smallest size I could find (3-6 months) with the intentions of making it into a  costume for one of my dolls.  I'm finally getting around to it.

I thought this was so pretty, but I bet it would have been extremely uncomfortable for a baby (very itchy).

This was the hard part; cutting it in half.

I had to do a little pinning on Julie to get some measurements.  It is a long way off from finishing.  I hope to have it done in a couple of weeks to show you.  I want it to be a ballet recital costume.  So,  I guess she'll need shoes.  Hmmmm.....

CUTE AND FURRY ALERT!!!!CUTE AND FURRY ALERT!!!!
Cheeseball is right in the middle of everything I do.  But, she's a sweetie!

Have a nice day!

Sad News

This has been a week of sad news for me.  Two children I know have found out their mom or dad is very sick.  Another family I know lost their dad when he was out walking his dog.  It was a foggy morning, and the dad bent over to pick something up, and a car hit him.  So there is a son who lost a father, and two families who are very worried about their mom or dad.  My heart has grieved for them.  Yet, I am so thankful that there is a God in heaven who can help carry them through this.  And, it makes heaven seem so much sweeter.  There will be no sadness, death, or goodbys there.

On a brighter note, have you seen the new AG outfits?  Here are some:
