Here's Kanani!!!!!

OK, here she really is!!!  Now we can see a close-up of her face.  She does not have the Kit mold, but she does have Jess' mold.  My daughter has Jess and Kanani's mold is exactly the same.  Kanani is just tan.  I do believe she has the longest hair of any doll yet.  You can get a plush seal that goes with her too.  What do I think?  I think she is beautiful!  What do you think?

Merry Christmas Everyone!

The new Narnia movie was probably my most moving Christmas event this year.  In fact, I went to see it 2 times.  My favorite part was when Lucy looks into the mirror and wishes herself to be her sister, Susan.  Aslan asks, "Lucy, what have you done?  You have wished yourself away."  How many times do we doubt ourselves or wish we were someone else?  Of course, Aslan, reassures Lucy and convinces her of her value in a firm, but gentle manner.

This movie touched my heart in so many ways.  I am so thankful for a strong and loving God.  What a wonderful Christmas present He is to us.  I pray that everyone is very thankful for what they receive this Christmas, and to be reminded of God's special gift to us, Jesus.

Do you know anyone who has ever made a Narnia costume for their doll?  How awesome would that be?  Maybe you can see the Narnia movie over the Christmas holiday with family or friends.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Here is the new doll!!!

I took a magnifying glass up close on Kanani's face, and she does have the mold of Kit.  But, what I love about her is her hair!!  Wow, she is beautiful!  What do you think?

I saw the new Kanani DOLL!!

My daughter showed me a video from You Tube today showing the new doll.  The video was quite blurry, but the doll looks beautiful.  She looks like she has the face mold of Kit and not Rebecca (I could be wrong because it was quite blurry.).  She comes with a tropical blue sun dress that you can buy for yourself too.  Her hair is very long and looks highlighted from the sun.  Her accessories are a surf board and a dog.  Other outfits are her surf board outfit/bathing suit and pajamas (the pajamas are really cute).  You can buy her lemonade stand and a big cumfy chair with an ottoman.  Her main color is this pretty tropical blue which you see in all her clothes and accessories.  By the way, she looked GORGEOUS!!!  With your parents permission maybe you can see this video on You Tube by typing in "Kanani, American Girl of the Year 2011."

Could Molly be next to be archived?

I have always wondered why they would retire Felicity before Molly.  Molly was one of the original three dolls.  When I was on AG's site I noticed that 2 of Emily's outfits are gone:  her swim suit, and her tap outfit.  I just saw the tap outfit go on sale right after Thanksgiving, and I haven't seen the swim suit for awhile.  I also noticed the camping tent gone.  Could Molly be leaving next?
What do you think?

Any more info on the new 2011 AG doll of the year?

My daughter is diligently searching for any new news of the new AG doll of the year. The latest info we have is what she looks like on the covers of her books. I can't wait to see the doll! Has anybody seen a picture of her yet?

A Gift

I know we have thought A LOT about the gifts we're wanting for Christmas, but have we thought about a gift we want to give to Jesus?  After all, it is His birthday!
It could be a card to someone sick, a chore we want to do for someone else, giving of some of our allowance to a good cause, or promising to spend more time in prayer to God.  Any kindness you do for someone else would be as if you were giving a gift to Jesus.  Can you tell me something that you are planning to give?

Here Susie is giving a gift to Julie.  Maybe she has spent her own money on it.  That would be a very special gift!!

Under the tree it plans to go until Christmas Day!

I plan on baking some cookies for our mailman, and then putting them in the mailbox for him.  Won't he be surprised!!!
If you're having a bad day think about what you can do for someone else.  It will make both of you happy!

Making a T-shirt

I made this cute T-shirt the other day, and I am going to give it to a young girl across the street who loves AG dolls too.

I went to the Michael's craft store, and bought this $4.00 iron-on set which can make 4 T-shirts, or 4 tote bags, or 4 "whatever" you want to put them on.  Michael's usually always has a sale, and if you come in with a coupon from the newspaper you could get this iron-on set for about $2.40.  That is worth it!!

The 2011 American Girl Doll!!!!!!

Hey girls, have you seen the new doll? I went to "google" and typed in "American girl doll book 'Aloha Kanani'", and there was a site that I clicked on that pictures of the book covers. She is very beautiful!!!! I love, love, love the extra long hair. Imagine the possibilities! Now I just can't wait to see the doll. Let me know what you think!

Thank you for being patient!

I am a very busy person, and I started this blog right when all the holidays came.  I long to blog more, but my schedule keeps me from doing so.  So, just hang in there, because I plan to blog more in the upcoming weeks!

Happy Hanukkah!

Today was the 8th day of Hanukkah, and Rebecca and Lindsey got together to celebrate!  All the candles were lit, and both girls played with the Jewish spinning top.

Lindsey is wearing Hanukkah's traditional color of blue.

For Hanukkah, you receive 8 presents, one each day of the 8 days of Hanukkah.

Rebecca is admiring Lindsey's "Star of David" necklace.

Rebecca got a new horse, Patriot.  Do you recognize her?  It is actually Felicity's baby horse.

When Patriot came in the mail she was so much prettier than her pictures on the American Girl site.  I wasn't sure if her skin was just a shiny plastic, or if there was fur on her.  The white horse in the background is just a plastic white coat, but when Patriot came she had a beautiful shiny furry coat.

You can see her shiny, furry coat here.  Isn't she beautiful?

Got Pictures!!

I quickly found pictures to just to put on tonight.  They are of my doll when I took her to Florida 2 months ago.

Here is my look-a-like doll at the Ballast Point Pier overlooking Tampa Bay.  Boy, the sun really made her freckles come out!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey everyone! I haven't posted in a while because my computer is not accepting my camera's memory chip. I just can't figure it out. I don't like to blog without pictures. "A picture is worth a thousand words." My husband and I will give it another try tonight. I pray everyone will have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Hopefully you'll hear from me soon!

Felicity and Elizabeth almost gone!

Are any of you wanting one or both for Christmas?  My daughter wants Elizabeth.  Check the AG site because a lot of the outfits are beginning to be on "back order".  I do believe there is now or will be soon "free shipping".  They always do a "free shipping" in Nov.

Being Thankful

It's that time of year when we find things to be thankful for. I'm mostly thankful that I have a God that loves me and who gave His life for me. What are you thankful for? I would love to know!

Fall Hair Accessories

I took out my favorite red-headed doll and made for her a simple hair accessory.  They are just beads put on a skinny ribbon, and then tied on to a bobby pin.  For an extra splash I put a glittery fall leaf on the end.  I think it looks cute!

I also made this pretty hair clip with some of the same glittery fall leaves.  They have a sticky backing so I just stuck them on the back of an old hair clip.

Isn't she pretty?

This is the bag of fall cut-outs that I bought at Wal-mart to make these hair accessories.

Fall Colors!!

This is what my maple tree in my front yard looks like.  It is actually prettier in person

Here is a Felicity sticker I found at the craft store, that goes along fall. She looks beautiful in her  yellow dress and red hair. So I'm giving it away in honor of fall.
HOW TO ENTER: You need parent's permission. Also the only way to enter is to comment me your email, your name, and what's your favorite red headed AG doll.
The last day to enter is Oct. 29th, and I'll announce the winner on the 30th!:)
This is my cute kitten that matches fall too.  He blends in perfectly with the leaves.  His name is Highway (We found him on the side of the highway when he was just teenie-tiny, and we adopted him.

Welcome to the start of my blog!

Hey girls and gals!  Fall is such a beautiful time, and a time to dress-up!!  My three dolls have joined in the fun.  Julie has decided to go back 100 years in time to the prairie.

Next, I have my look-a-like doll, Susan, dressed up like a kitty-cat.  Do you recognize the outfit from AG?

Last, I have Rebecca dressed up like a hula girl.  I have heard rumors that the next doll-of-the-year might be Hawaiian.

Now, I will always have a little excerpt of one of my cats.  Here is Streaky being very cute.  I like to dress her up too.  Maybe in another post I will show you what she can do.
Aren't you glad God made 4 seasons?  I used to live in Florida, and I felt like it was summer all year long, but now I live in North Carolina and I can sense all 4 seasons!  I'm so glad God made the leaves change color!!!  He is an awesome God!!!
